Starting Christmas Cards

wreath card

This year I am gonna do it!!!  I WILL send Christmas cards to everyone on my list and they will ALL be homemade!  Maybe by starting in August it will actually happen?  For this one I used the Medallion stamp from Stampin Up (my favorite, you’ll see a lot of their stuff here).  I used a clear ink called versamark to stamp just the border of the stamp and then embossed it with a heat tool and green embossing powder.  Then I added red bead “berries” and a bow and the “Merry Christmas”.  I was pretty darn excited because I am always the one looking for other people’s ideas, but I came up with this one all by myself AND it was a different use for a stamp than its itended image!

You did an awesome job on the card……and this comes from a stampin up dealer! I remember my first card I did on my on, and I know how it fills. And I love the recipe for the cookies, will have to try it this weekend. Love your blog, it just fits into the things I enjoy…..plants. cardmaking (any crafts for that matter) and cooking. Hope to see more,
    thanks for the ideas,
